5 m cables are supplied as standard. Other lengths are available on request. The cable can be up to 15 m with active extenders. Distances that exceed 15 m will need USB to Cat5 extenders. Visualplanet recommend the following hardware:

- USB to Cat5 Adaptors - Icron Ranger 2101 - Tested to 90 m
Serial Communications
It may be possible to use up to 15 m however you may experience additional noise which can make the system unusable. In these situations we would recommend the use of a suitable RS 232 booster or an RS 232 to Cat5 converter system such as the type supplied by Gefen. Please see this link for further details.
