It is important to consider the cooling of the LCD unit. The touchfoil™ will withstand temperatures higher than the LCD. It is important to allow for circulation of air in front of the LCD. In some cases temperature monitors with fans on watchdog timers have been used to force air through the gap and keep the temperature regulated.
This is not an issue for the touchfoil™, but an issue of heat generation by the LCD (especially if it is in a sunny location).
